6th Place AAU Division II Nationals !!!
Memphis TN
June 26th-July 3rd, 2011
Loudoun Triple Threat 7th Grade Gold boys finished 6th in a field of 80 teams at the AAU Division II Nationals in Memphis TN.  LTT Gold won 6 games from June 26 to July 3rd defeating teams from Alabama, South Carolina, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Kentucky and North Carolina. They lost in the final 8 to the eventual National Champion King James from Ohio after leading by 2 at half time and missing a 3 pointer to tie with 10 seconds to go.  King James won the final by 27 points. LTT Gold earned a team trophy, player medals and a automatic bid to 2012 AAU Division II Nationals at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.

Mike Wilden

Mike played high school basketball at Sachem High School in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY.  In college, Mike played for St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH were he led his team to NCAA Division II Northeast-10 Championships and a Northeast Region Championship.  Mike continues to play in various men’s leagues.  For the past 8 years, Mike has shared his knowledge of the game by coaching several youth teams.  He currently assists in coaching 2 Loudoun Triple Threat teams.  Mike has been with the LTT organization for 4 years.

Broadway Bash Tournament Champions, February 14-15, Harrisonburg, Virginia -
Congratulations to the 11U Gold Team for going undefeated to win the Broadway Bash.  Ten 11U teams from across the state completed in the tournament.  The Loudoun Triple Threat 11U Gold Team went 3-0 in pool play and then had two more wins on Sunday over the other pool winners. This was a great team effort throughout the tournament with Spencer Shipman making 10 points in the Championship game.

State Tournament Runners Up

Qualified for YBOA Division 1 Nationals in Orlando, Florida & will join the 13U Team to compete at the end of July!  The 10U Gold Team went 3-0 to win their pool, won the Semi-Finals and then lost a heart breaker in the finals on a 3 point shot at the buzzer.  The team will head to Orlando July 26-Aug 2nd to compete in Nationals.  Congratulations to Kirk, Jon, players and parents on finishing 2nd in the State!

Fairfax Stars Winter League Champions

 

The 10U Team was crowned league Champions in their first Fairfax Stars League Campaign!  The team went 8-1 in addition to the Runner Up finish in the Broadway tournament highlighted below.

The 10U Team battled to a 2nd place finish in their first tournament ever and are off to a great start in their first season.  Our other LTT Team competing in the tournament, U13 Gold were Tournament Champions - a great weekend for LTT!
